MEET THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS | MEET THE STAFF VTIA is lead by a board of directors, each elected for a three-year term. Approximately one-third of the board, seat terms expire every year, rolls over every year, and no company may have more than two representatives on the board at one time. VTIA Bylaws limit the size of the Board to twenty-one (21) directors but currently the association is lead by sixteen (16) directors. The executive committee of the board helps to manage the association and is made up of the association's officers: the president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and one executive committee member at-large selected from the board by the president. The executive director is appointed by the board of directors to manage the day-to-day operations of the association and also serves as an ex-officio member of the executive committee. Many of the association's directives originate among working committees and are submitted to the full board for review and a recommended action. Ad hoc committees can be established by the board of directors. All committee members are appointed by the president, except for members of the executive and nominating committees.
