Duront A. Walton, Jr. -Executive Director

Duront A. "D" Walton became the executive director of VTIA in August 2007. Mr. Walton has 16 years of experience in telecommunications, including work in the areas of regulatory affairs, labor relations and operational management in both operator services and business office operations. Prior to joining VTIA, he served as senior telecommunications specialist for the Division of Communications at the Virginia State Corporation Commission. Mr.Walton earned his BS degree in Civil Engineering from the Virginia Military Institute and his MBA from the University of Richmond.
Jane Latta is VTIA's director of member services, a position she had held since September 1996 after previously working at the Virginia State Corporation Commission. She handles membership recruiting and processing dues billing. Jane also is the association's primary meeting and conference planner..
