By joining VTIA, you align yourself and your company with one of Virginia's most powerful and prestigious associations and a leader in the industry. VTIA members are given many opportunities not only to learn from others, but also to contribute to their colleagues and the industry.
VTIA's members are elected by the association's board of directors and fall into two categories: Company Members and Affiliate Members. Company Membership |
Affiliate Membership
Any individual, firm, partnership or corporation operating as a telecommunications company and authorized to do business in Virginia is eligible to become a Company Member of VTIA. Company Members may be providers of any of the following telecommunications services:
cable television cellular competitive access enhanced telecommunications equipment, systems and service interexchange carrier
Other types of telecommunications businesses may also join VTIA as Company Members upon approval by the board of directors. Company Members are entitled to one vote at membership meetings. Dues for Company Members are based on total operating income, from Virginia operations only, as reported to the Virginia Department of Taxation.

Any individual, firm, partnership or corporation, or the authorized representative of such an entity, with interest in common with the organization, and providing services to Company Members, and not otherwise eligible for Company Member status, is eligible to be an affiliate member. While Affiliate Members are non-voting members, they are given ample opportunities to meet with the membership and to participate in membership activities, as well as opportunities for marketing their products and services.
Dues for Affiliate Membership are set annually by the board of directors and presently are $350 per company.
