ADVOCACY

VTIA represents its members on industry issues before the Virginia General Assembly, the U.S. Congress, state agencies, state and federal regulatory bodies and national industry associations.

Policy positions are formed by VTIA's members in committees and must be approved by the legislative committee and the board of directors. Typically, the association's executive vice president represents the association before legislative and regulatory bodies, although members are called upon on occasion to assist or to provide testimony.

VTIA keeps its members informed of legislative activity through Newsletters sent to the members via e-mail.
